conveyormoving insula
moving insula is part of a two-person exhibition titled, sent in spun found, at the Doosan Gallery in Seoul, Korea. This piece invites the viewers to move the sections of the work in a pattern of : left - left - left - right - left (repeat 3x). This movement speaks to the military cadence used to synchronize into a steady pace and unify. Left/right contains the double meaning of "left" meaning direction but also what/who is left behind and right meaning direction and also in a moral sense of "choosing the right".
This project was supported, in part, by a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant.
